What to do when the area of steel for top and bot bars provided at joint in continuous spans is not the same. Do you all consider the larger area of steel at support?

      Bottom bars & top bars are different in beam/girder design. For top bars we consider larger amount of steel among both sides of the joint as per required at top. Same for bottom.
